Note

The mouths are the only parts of these two faces that don't mirror each other. On the left it's ω, the Greek small letter omega, the same curvy little mouth as in (・ω・). On the right it's ♢, which Unicode calls WHITE DIAMOND SUIT: the diamond from a deck of cards, drawn as an outline with nothing inside. It's taller than it is wide and pointed at the top and bottom, and it sits between the two eye dots ・ with its middle at about eye level, so its points stick out well above and below the eyes, like a mouth stretched wide open from top to bottom. The ω is shorter and doesn't reach up nearly as far, so that face looks like it's smiling with its mouth shut. Everything else is mirrored. The left face goes (, then *, then ´, and only then the eyes and mouth; the right face puts its eyes and mouth first, then ` and *, before closing with ). The ´ and ` are short strokes near the top of the line, ´ up and to the left of the left eye, ` up and to the right of the right eye, slanting opposite ways. With the * and the slanted stroke pushed to the outer edge of each face, the eyes and mouths end up on the side where the two faces meet, so the two faces seem to be looking straight at each other. Right after the second face's ) comes ネー, half-width katakana for a drawn-out ne, the little word Japanese speakers use to agree with whoever they're talking to. It follows the open-mouthed face, so you can picture that one saying it while the ω face smiles and listens.
